It has new been a decade since Central Festival Phuket first opened its doors to Phuket’s public. It was the first shopping complex of its type on Phuket Island and it certainly raised the island’s shopping options bringing tourist shopping to an international level. In 2013, Central Festival Phuket launched phase 2 of their complex, a second shopping centre named Central Festival Phuket East, using a million baht budget to renovate the pre-existing building. The 16,000 sqm Central Festival Phuket East was opened to ensure Central Festival Phuket could continue to accommodate their ever increasing customer group and to facilitate the various services who all want to be part of the Central Festival Phuket experience. It also provided customers with a much needed 1000 additional parking spaces.
