“Dokudami is a natural dietary supplement,and one bottle consists of approximately 330 ml of active herbal extract. E-commerce Taking Dokudami to a wider market

Sales of Dokudami have, until now,been gained in Thailand purely via multi-level marketing (mlm).However, as part of Prolac (Thailand) Co Ltd’s desire to market their product to a global market they have now extended their marketing platform to cover e-commerce, and have appointed Belgian born entrepreneur Daniel van den Enden as Director of e-commerce.

52 year Daniel studied industrial engineering up until the age of 22,when he then started his own venture in the music business, organizing concerts for the likes of Tina Turner and Fats Domino. After several successful business ventures, in 1992, when he was first came to be based in Thailand, Daniel met Prolac website do so in the same way as purchasing any product online, with the product being shipped directly to their required destination. However, purchasers are offered the additional choice of joining the website’s one tier referral program. Once signed up to this program, members can enter the email details of a referral, who will then be sent a link to the sign up page. Once that referral has signed up to the program and starts to make purchases, the referrer will be rewarded for each purchase made. Although not a high paying referral program, Daniel fi rmly believes  that anyone who can refer 10-15 people, who then go on to purchase the product will be able to get their product for free. It was earlier this year that Daniel reconnected with Khun Aswin, found out about Dokudami, and decided it was a venture he would like to be involved with. It was Daniels’s proposal to Khun Aswin to join together and start up the e-commerce side of Prolac (Thailand) and bring Dokudami to a wider market.

Daniel believes with Phuket being one of the world’s best health and wellness destinations, there was no better place to startup this side of the business which was never done in Prolac’s previous 10 years in operation.

Having established the website www.dokudamihealing.com,it is now Daniels task to start to get the required hits to the website. Daniel believes that one of the main ways of getting the hits, rather than just waiting and hoping people will come across the website, is to offer people an online referral program. People who purchase products via the website do so in the same way as purchasing any product online, with the product being shipped directly to their required destination. For Daniel, his main challenges are firstly getting people to believe in the company, and secondly ensuring people are able to find Dokudami via search engines, both of which he realizes will take a little time.

With regards to targets, within a year Daniel hopes they should be selling 1,000 bottles per month via the website, something which he is sure they can reach once consumers are aware of the many benefi ts of Dokudami.
