- Recent studies in people with chronic low-back pain suggest that a carefully adapted set of yoga poses may help reduce pain and improve function (the ability to walk and move). Studies also suggest that practicing yoga (as well as other forms of regular exercise) might have other health benefits such as reducing heart rate and blood pressure, and may also help relieve anxiety and depression. Other research suggests yoga is not helpful for asthma, and studies looking at yoga and arthritis have had mixed results.

Class Descriptions
- Level 1 – Easy Yoga … This level is suitable for everyone. It is a gentle class that is relaxing
and very helpful if you are stressed or are unfit and are looking to work on your fitness and strength. - Level 2 – Foundation Yoga … This level is suitable for most Beginners and for regular students as well.
It is a good class to develop strength and fitness. This is the class I would recommend for all those that have completed the Beginners Course. If you have done a little yoga or are reasonably fit this is the
class to start with. Foundation yoga focuses on alignment and works with the entire body building strength and flexibility that will allow you to then move up to General yoga. - Level 3 – General Yoga … This level is suitable for those that have some experience in yoga. This level is quite strong and will challenge even those of you that consider yourself to be fit and strong. The poses in this level will challenge you both in your flexibility and strength. General Yoga assumes you already have a good knowledge of the main yoga poses before you attend this class.
- Level 4 – Intermediate Yoga … This level is only for those students that have a good knowledge of yoga,
and have already developed a good range of flexibility and strength. The poses that you will encounter will range from General poses to some that are significantly more difficult and will test you no matter what your
fitness or strength level. This is a class that you will build up to over time and we prefer all students that attend this class to come to at least General classes first where your suitability can be ascertained.
