Ms.Daoroong Rodsomnam is Project Manager of the Life Home Project Foundation. The Life Home Project Foundation is a shelter for mothers who are HIV positive and their children (who may or may not be infected) where they can live safely in a supportive community. Unfortunately, one of the impacts of AIDS is that parents are unable to look after their children for various reasons such as poverty and family breakdowns. The foundation ensures every child goes to school, so that they receive an education, and have access to healthcare. At Home & Life, they live as a family. The staff children and volunteers live and learn together, sharing every experience and taking care of each other.
LHPF has two rented houses in Phuket where they provide accommodation and food for HIV positive mothers and children. But the most importantly, they teach them skills and provide them with jobs, so they can be self sufficient. It is their philosophy to help them to help themselves.Even though their organisation runs well, they still hope to get support from those kindhearted people whether offering funding, effort or inner strength.
Life Home Project Foundation is continuously looking for donations of the following items:
– Everyday items including toothbrushes, toothpastes, soaps, detergent powders, fabric softeners, etc.
– Diapers Size L and XL
– Apparel
– Soymilk and Condiments and rice
