It cannot be denied that as an international tourist city, English is essential in building a career and a business. People who can use English effectively have distinct advantages over those who can not. Therefore, it is necessary to learn basic English from a young age. Children are particularly receptive to learning and it is always easier for them to learn new language.
Many families send their children to study English at language schools because they believe that this will give their children a brighter future. Particulary, “Pop Up English Language Center Phuket” is providing English course designed particulary for children aged 3 up to 12 years old or from pre-schooler to primary 6 students.
Panjama Leamsuwan, or Khun Kai, graduated with a master’s degree from Australia and she is now the owner of the Pop Up English Language Center Phuket. She told Phuketindex.com the reason she open the English language center was because she is a mother who loves English. She would like her child and other children to be able to have fun learning English and to develop English skills naturally without having to concern too much on grammar and vocabulary. She also realised that English skill is important for children especially when AEC 2015 is approaching.
What’s makes Pop Up English Language Center Phuket so interesting?
Khun Kai told us “The Phuket Branch of the nationwide Pop Up English Center offers innovative courses in English. It takes students from kindergarten to primary level, while carefully considering students particular needs and interests at each stage. It courses are based on the modular approach, enabling students to deal with the topic in depth. In addition, its multi-dimensional syllabus helps learners to acquire English through an integrated development of the four skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing. In addition, we provide options of having group class (no more than 6 children) or private tutoring. Each level of our courses takes 12 hours to 48 hours to complete and they use study books from the U.K. Furthermore, we have both native English teacher as well as Thai teacher who speak English in the class.
How do children change after joining Pop Up?
Khun Kai said “we will always have “private consulation” with parents before signing up to the course. This is important because we would like to understand each child’s behavior and personality. This enables us to see how they progress during the course.. For example, if a child is not ready to learn together with friends, we will suggest that the child should have one-on-one course for certain period. During one-on-one course, the child and the teacher can spend time doing activities in which English can be integrated. For those who can join a group, we will strengthen their interaction with other children, and more importantly we will make sure that they are comfortable to speak English without worrying too much on grammar and vocabulary. By doing this we hope to see the children enjoying learning English and developing their skills of English gradually during their time with us.
