The number of tourists visiting Phuket has reached millions each year. Patong is always packed with those tourists which makes it seem like there are less Thais living there. Q: Could you please tell us about your education and work background?
A: I graduated in Doctor of Medicine from Faculty of Medicine, Songklanakarin University in 1999 and I was an interne at Su-ngai Kolok Hospital in Narathiwat. Later, I was a director of Chian Yai Hospital in Nakhon Si Thammarat. After working there for 2 years, I took another step further by working in famous private hospitals: Srikarin Hospital in Hat Yai, Yanhee Hospital in Bangkok, and Bangkok Hospital Pak Chong in Korat, for 8 years. I had gained so much experiences and improved my skills from those big organizations which was why I decided to open my own clinic, Patong Inter Medical Clinic.
Q: Could you tell us a bit about opening this clinic?
A: There were always Thai and foreign patients asking for clinics or hospitals under international standard, but there were not enough in Patong. So, I considered opening this clinic using my own experiences to service patients.
Q: What is your medical expertise?
A: I can cure patients in general, but I have more experiences with foreign tourists.
Q: What is the treatment standard of this clinic?
A: Thai medical profession is very well-known for its international standard and that leads more tourists to come to Thailand for medical treatments. Likewise, Patong Inter Medical Clinic is under international standard and we determine to provide that to every patient of ours.
Q: What available checkups or treatments does the clinic offer?
A: We offer physical checkups and many kinds of treatments here at Patong Inter Medical Clinic. We cure patients in general including kids and adults. We have treatments for, for example, dermatitis, acne, blemish, and hair loss. We also provide blood testing, injections, and saline solution. Moreover, medical certificates can be issued here.
Q: What is your target customer?
A: Due to the fact I have been treating foreign patients for quite a long time, I am able to look into them better. However, I do not overlook Thai patients. So, Patong Inter Medical Clinic services both Thai and foreign patients.
Q: What are the symptoms most foreign patients face?
A: There are lots of foreign patients visiting Patong come here because of their health problems. Some are here because of diarrhea, sunburn, or otitis.
Q: What are other special services?
A: We provide other facilities for our patients such as transportation to hospitals for emergency cases, life insurance, and coordinating with other medical service providers: physical therapy, dentistry, and acupuncture. Moreover, patients can call the doctor for checkups at the hotels which is called Hotel Call for 24 hours. We want to meet our patients’ highest satisfaction.
