Wat Khao Rang (or Sumnak Song Khao Rang) is located at the hillside of the popular Rang Hill, Phuket, Thailand. It houses the Golden Sitting Buddha, the original and first sitting Buddha in Phuket. Despite being considered big, many travellers miss it because the road leading to there is not so easy to locate. Mostly locals go there to do merit and pray on week ends.
The temple grounds are divided in two areas. The original and complicated building supporting the sitting Buddha on its roof, with its back against the green hillside, and the new temple next to it.
